Due to the language barrier, Mandila initially had difficulties expressing himself at school. If your native language is Afrikaans and English is the language of instruction, it is not always easy. But thanks to the director's active language policy, new teachers were recruited who also speak Afrikaans at home. From now on, Mandila can ask questions in his native language. For example, he can ask the dance teacher in Afrikaans what a word is in English.
